Role Overview

We are looking for a curious and analytical Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst with 0-4 years of relevant experience who is eager to make real impact on the future of learning. As part of a small, multidisciplinary consulting team, you will work on projects that shape educational institutions, digital products, and data-driven strategies. You will support end-to-end project delivery — from research and analysis to concept development and implementation — under the guidance of senior consultants. This role offers a strong foundation for growth into consulting, product, or strategic management paths.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to project planning, coordination, and documentation.
  • Support the delivery of client and internal initiatives, ensuring high-quality execution under senior supervision.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, benchmarking, and market or policy analysis.
  • Contribute to the design of strategies, process improvements, or digital tools that address client challenges.
  • Collect, validate, and interpret data to identify insights and inform strategic recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver concise presentations and documents that summarise insights and recommendations.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an early carreer professional with:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — able to structure problems, work with data, and draw insights.
  • Working knowledge of software (Power Point, Excel, Google Sheets, ChatGPT etc.) and a strong motivation to deepen analytical skills.
  • Clear and confident communication skills in both Hungarian and English, written and verbal.
  • A collaborative and adaptable mindset, thriving in multidisciplinary team environments.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field.
  • Internship or project experience in strategy consulting, research, data, or innovation is an advantage.

Solutions Lab is committed to pay transparency. The salary range for this position is 740,000 – 915,000 HUF gross per month, but can be adjusted depending on experience and role scope.

1. Application & CV Screening

After reviewing your application, our team carefully assesses your background, motivation, and alignment with the role. If your profile matches what we’re looking for, we’ll invite you to the next stage.

2. Take-Home Case Assignment

Shortlisted candidates receive a take-home case to solve at their own pace. The exercise assesses analytical, qualitative, and quantitative thinking, allowing you to demonstrate how you approach real-world consulting problems. Clear instructions and supporting materials will be provided to help you structure your work.

3. In-Person Assessment Day

Successful candidates are invited to an in-person assessment session at our Budapest office, lasting approximately three hours.

The session includes three parts:

  • A TSA (Thinking Skills Assessment) to evaluate structured reasoning.
  • A group problem-solving exercise, where you’ll collaborate with others to tackle a challenge.
  • Individual interviews focusing on your motivation, experience, and how you approach complex situations.

4. Final Round Interviews

Candidates who perform strongly in the assessment day are invited to a final round of in-person interviews.

This stage includes:

  • A case study–based problem-solving interview, where you work through a real consulting-style scenario with a senior team member.
  • A partner interview, focused on your long-term potential, fit with our values, and your aspirations within the team.

This final step gives you the chance to ask deeper questions, understand our work and culture more fully, and ensure that Solutions Lab is the right place for your growth.
